RUBINI WINS ALL, BUT NOT THE RACE

31/05/2016

The title resumes what happened to Stephen Rubini the past weekend at Spain GP. The French KTM Silver Action team rider fighting for the 125 class European title won in fact greatly the two motos but after, at the end of the race, he has been downgraded from the jury of 10 positions in the second moto guilty to not have respected the yellow flag that imposes to slow down and to not jump, thing Rubini who was however already leading the group in that moment, did not on a jump. These are the facts, and notwithstanding security comes to the first place, it's clear the disappointment remains even more that with this victory the points separing him from the championship leader Jago Geert were reduced to 9, putting so the Korax rider in condition to fight deservedly for the top of the championship classification. Instead, all to do again, because the points to recover remain 27. The championship is however far from the end, and Stephen already confirmed he will do his best to get on top starting from next race which will be played right at his home in France the coming weekend.
On track in Spain, but in the 250 European, also the Italian Davide Cislaghi, continuing to recover shape and speed race after race after past year injury so that also here regularly got his place in the qualifying race and put in his pocket other points thanks to a 17th and 20th position.
After the injury in training of beginning May, here in Talavera got back on track in the MX2 World Championship another KTM Silver Action rider too, the Belgian Jens Getteman. The missing feeling after the stop did not bring the hoped results and the checkered flag saw him passing 21st in the first moto and retired in the second one.
