Last weekend The GP of Sweden saw once again the Korax colors on the podium of the European championship.Nick Kouwenberg, with an excellent 2nd place overall, kept the championship lead on the 250 class.
The unexpected surprise of the GP was seeing the other Honda Jtech rider, the Russian Vsevolod Brylyakov, finish 4th overall close to the podium. If it were not for Valentin Guillod that in the last few laps of the second moto has passed Lieber and Brylyakov finishing 2nd place overall of the day, would be the "Brylly" to win the 3rd step of the podium. Good job to the Russian rider that is proving every race to be able to increasingly grow in points like the two fifth places obtained on the track in Sweden. Even another Korax rider could be a top ten rider without many problems and we are talking about Ivo Monticelli. Here in Uddevalla he had already brought home a good 9th place in the first moto, but then had to retire in the second because of a mechanical problem. Three deserved championship points for the team KTM Silver Action rider, the Russian Viacheslav Golovkin, and for the new entry of the team Honda Jtech, French Jordan Lacan. In the European 250 two crashes have rather unfortunately private Simonde Furlotti, currently leader of the Italian championship MX2 class,to repeat the good result of two Sunday ago in Germany. This weekend we will be in Latvia for another GP which should see back racing after an injury another Korax rider, the Belgian Jens Getteman.
