It's Vsevolod Brylyakov the Korax rider from Russia riding for Honda Jtech team, went up the podium achieving a deserved third place in the MX2 class for the opening round of the Internationals of Italy of mx last February 1st . At the race before the team Yamaha Italian Factory riders Pippo Bertuzzo and Stefano Pezzuto as well, already got the third step of the podium (Bertuzzo in the 450 and Pezzuto in the 250) at the first of the Supermarecross, the beach tracks championship, in Fregene (Rome) and this last Sunday, in Riola Sardo (Sardinia), under a really inclement and cold weather with wind, rain and hailstorm too, was almost like a World championship GP race with many factory riders and teams.
Hard battle on track in the MX2 heat, where Brylyakov got the third place in the last laps after pass Tim Gajser (Honda HRC) and before Alexandr Tonkov (Husqvarna Factory). A part Brylyakov all other riders finishing in the top six position starting from Paul Jonass (KTM Factory) who won the race, were on factory bikes.
Also all other Korax riders was on the gas, from the two other Honda Jtech men Jens Getteman and Nick Kouwenberg, which had to stay away from a leading position because of a group start crash in the MX2 heat, but ending after 8th and 11th.
In the MX1-MX2 superfinal Getteman got a very good 10th overall place and was third of the MX2 riders. Good debut also for the Italian Simone Furlotti, 13th in the MX2 heat, which together with the Russian Viacheslav Golovkin and the KTM Silver Action team, from this season will defend the Korax colors in the european 250 and in the MX2 World championship. Back to competitions for Ivo Monticelli after the knee's surgery. Was just a test race for the Korax rider, racing again with the KTM Marchetti team and already showing however a very good speed and going to close 15th in the MX2 and 21st the superfinal. Always gritty Pippo Bertuzzo too, which in the MX1 class finished 19th back all balzoned names of high classification in the MXGP and 21st in the Elite superfinal. Hard but good training instead for the Russian Golovkin and for the Italian Pezzuto, that even if did not enter the Elite final, profited to refine their shape on a very difficult sandy circuit.
